Is the Head of Political and Cultural Affairs at the Embassy of Mexico in Australia (accredited to Fiji, Nauru, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, and Vanuatu), where he has served since 2021, playing a pivotal role in advancing Mexico’s diplomatic objectives, enhancing its reputation, and fostering cultural cooperation and understanding. He has been a career diplomat since 2013, serving as Mexican Consul of Protection and Legal Affairs in Fresno, California, where he advocated for Mexican nationals in immigration, family, labor, administrative and criminal affairs, and as the Head of Economic Affairs, Trade and Promotion at the Mexican Embassy of Saudi Arabia, where he oversaw economic, commercial, tourist and cultural ties with Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman, and Yemen. He also served as Mexico’s representative at the International Energy Forum and as G20 Liaison for the duration of the G20 Saudi Presidency. He studied International Relations at the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM), in Mexico City, and holds a Certificate in Political Studies from the Institut d´Etudes Politiques, Aix in Provence, France, and a Diploma in European Studies from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, Spain.
