Is a specialist in medical technology at RMIT University in Melbourne Australia, where he further completed a PhD in biomedical engineering. Francisco is the recipient of the Discovery Early Career Research Award, RMIT Vice Chancellor’s Fellowship. He is president of the Red Global Mx (Australia Chapter), a non-profit organisation which seeks to establish links between Australia and Mexico in science, technology, entrepreneurship and creative industries. He has authored over 60 publications and has two patents in medical technology. He also manages to find the time to play music and over the years he has studied traditional Mexican rhythms on strings played on Mariachi.
